Covid-19 Surface Testing within the Workplace

At NationWide Laboratories we are now able to offer environmental testing for the detection of SARS-CoV-2 on surfaces within the workplace. We use a real time PCR method to indicate the presence of SARS-CoV-2 genetic material on the swabs taken from contaminated surfaces.

The swabbing technique is suitable for a wide range of critical environmental surfaces, including door handles, light switches, desks, office furniture and equipment, ventilation exits, food contact surfaces, kitchens, sinks, lavatories etc.

The sampling is performed by swabbing the surfaces of all areas that require testing using the sterile swabs provided. Analysis is carried out in our designated laboratory in Leeds and the results are reported back within 48 hours from the receipt of the sample.

Regular testing will help you monitor and strengthen the effectiveness of cleaning and sanitation regimes in your facility.

Note: This particular test is only designed for surfaces and not suitable for humans or animals.
